Sales Executive – Specialty Ingredients (Northeastern U.S.)

This role will be responsible for

  • Marketing and selling specialty ingredients across the food, personal care, and pharmaceutical industries
  • Developing, managing, and strengthening business-critical customer relationships
  • Identifying key accounts and shaping strategic plans to grow and protect business
  • Driving new business opportunities through prospecting, application development, and solution-oriented selling
  • Assisting customers with technical formulas, troubleshooting, and product application support
  • Maintaining CRM records for leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
  • Reporting market intelligence including competitor activity, customer trends, and industry developments
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Operations, R&D, Technical Services, and other internal teams
  • Participating in trade associations and industry events to elevate presence and expertise

Expectations will include

  • Living within the Northeastern United States territory
  • Traveling 40%+ for customer visits, meetings, trainings, conferences, and tradeshows
  • Maintaining a high level of product and market knowledge
  • Providing exceptional customer service and timely communication
  • Consistently meeting sales goals while proactively pursuing new opportunities
  • Representing the organization professionally in all customer and industry interactions

A qualified candidate will possess the following

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
  • 5+ years of technical B2B ingredients sales experience within the food sector
  • Strong communication and persuasive presentation skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks and customer relationships
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex problems and anticipate market needs
  • Highly action-oriented, results-driven, and skilled at managing a dynamic sales pipeline
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development and industry learning
