Patent Transactional Attorney

Our firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Intellectual Property (Patent) Transactions Attorney to join our expanding IP practice. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys working on sophisticated patent acquisitions, licensing, and technology-related transactions and who thrives in an environment that values precision, strategy, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on patent acquisition, licensing, and technology transfer transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex IP-related contracts including assignments, licenses, joint ventures, and development agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for M&A and investment deals involving IP portfolios.
  • Collaborate with cross-practice teams to align IP strategy with business and commercial goals.
  • Provide legal insight on patent law, ownership, and protection strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar; eligibility for prompt admission to others.
  • Strong background in patent law , with a focus on transactional matters .
  • 3+ years of experience in IP transactions , including licensing, acquisitions, or related commercial agreements.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
