Parts counter
Job Summary: Assist our internal and external customers with obtaining the parts they need, providing a high level of customer service. Work alongside our service department to ensure they have everything they need to get our customers back on the road as efficiently as possible.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Answering phone calls, gathering all required information, and providing accurate transaction details in return.
- Communicates effectively with the Parts Manager on issues related to obtaining parts, such as out of stock items. Participates in problem solving these issues.
- Follows up on backorders and special orders, daily.
- Issues proper credit when necessary, ensuring all required documents are in order.
- Works effectively with the service technicians and service advisors to determine what parts are needed and estimating when work can be completed.
- Expedites the install process by notifying service as soon as parts are in for special orders.
- Maintains an organized department where items can be easily located and are stored safely.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to prioritize workload and switch between tasks frequently
- Ability to work independently
- Organization skills are a must have
- Analyze complex matters and problem solve
- Receptive to constructive criticism
- Knowledge of auto parts is very helpful
