This position offers an exciting blend of hands on surgical support and leadership responsibilities. You will play a crucial role in the scheduling, coordination, and overall efficiency of our surgical operations.
SUMMARY:
Be the key liaison between patients and the surgical team. Guide each patient through their pre-surgical education, financial counseling, and scheduling process. If you have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, compassion, and helping patients navigate complex medical and financial decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Counsel patients on surgical options and assist in decision making based on their diagnosis and surgeon recommendations.
- Explain surgical options and answer patient inquiries.
- Guide patients in selecting appropriate lenses and surgical upgrades based on their visual goal
- Schedule patient appointments, consultations, follow ups, and surgeries.
- Discuss financials for non-covered services and premium lens options, ensuring transparent and compliant discussions.
- Complete all surgical forms and patient consents accurately and efficiently.
- Support broader surgical team through collaboration, flexibility, and communication.
- Travel to other local locations as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in ophthalmology, surgical counseling, or related healthcare role preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient-interaction skills.
- Familiarity with EHR and scheduling systems.
- Proficient in EHR and scheduling systems or similar
- Ability to manage multiple patients and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
