Job Description
Seeking a Nuclear Engineer with a background in Non-LOCA thermal-hydraulic analysis to perform advanced safety evaluations using RELAP5
Responsibilities:
- Conduct new and revised safety analyses for postulated accidents using RELAP5
- Assess the impact of plant and core design changes on existing safety evaluations
- Support development of methodologies for new fuel products, licensing needs, and regulatory changes
- Contribute to the automation of tools that improve analysis efficiency
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results to clients
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with light water reactor (LWR) systems and transient thermal-hydraulic behavior
- Experience with system codes such as RELAP5, TRACE, TRAC, RETRAN, CATHARE, PARCS, SNAP, or LOFTRAN
