Compensation: $28 â $36 per hour (based on experience)

As a Dock Door Repair Technician , youâll be the go-to expert keeping commercial and industrial facilities running smoothly. Youâll inspect, maintain, and repair dock doors, levelers, seals, and more â ensuring every system performs safely and efficiently.

Prioritize Safety: Always follow OSHA and company safety standards, including lock-out/tag-out and confined space procedures.
Perform Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and PMs on dock doors, levelers, seals, bumpers, and related equipment.
Tackle Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Maintain and repair commercial doors (automatic, hollow metal, and overhead).
Work on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic dock systems.
Handle light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed â from lighting issues to small patching and painting jobs.
Stay Organized: Document work in the CMMS system, analyze findings, and make recommendations for ongoing improvements.
Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with fellow technicians, subcontractors, and customer teams to deliver timely, high-quality results.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; trade or technical school training preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year maintaining or repairing commercial dock doors, levelers, automatic doors, or related hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Experience with manufacturers such as Rite Hite, Power Ramp, Stanley Access, Assa Abloy, or Allegion hardware is a plus.
Previous work involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry systems preferred.
Certifications:
Valid driverâs license required.
AAADM certification preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Capable of operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and maintenance software.
